What's this?

I just liked the composition. I think that was a significant town at the time, but I can't recall any more. Paul, Brian, Paulette, and David stop and discuss the roads. Okay, it just looks cool. Paulette catches up with Lynda. I have to ride up that thing? Really! If I'd been faster with the shutter, I'd have a really cool shot of 4 people cycling up that hill. David stands up to climb the hill. On the road to Montepulciano. Still on the road to Montepulciano. How do they plow those fields? The penguin rests at our lunch stop. Mama cat protects her 2 kittens from rude people with cameras. They run off, but the guy withe the camera is persistent. The black & white kitten is really curious, though. Lora tells the story of her and Liz being pushed up a hill by some local cyclists. Water is very popular after cycling. Cindy tells Liz about her sinus infection while Dara tries to get hair secrets out of Lynda. I think that's Montepulciano. Yes, I definitely think that's Montepulciano. Here's another shot just to be sure. Our hotel in Montepulciano. The view from David and Geri's balcony. Here I am just before my shave. Getting a shave from Luciano the barber. Look at the concentration on Luciano's face. David and Geri stroll up a street in Montepulciano. How do those tiny cars make up those steep streets?
That's the church that was never finished.
The group gathers at the cantine for wine tasting. Adamo the wine master shows us in. Adamo tells Lynda and Cindy everything he knows while Nello translates. I think he likes Linda's twin set. The wine is aging in casks. Adamo explains how we should drink 3 glasses (or was that bottles?) of red wine per day for maximum health benefits. He makes yet another point I can't recall. The group listens intently. Lorenzo and Guido try to avoid drinking the white. Lora drains her glass while Geri makes a face at hers. Dara drains her glass so she can dig into her cracker. Is that Brian behind her? Lora and Geri laugh at a joke. Or are they laughing at me? David and Geri swap wine stories with Dara. Brian, Paulette, Janet, Nello, and Paul pick the wine master's brain. Steven and Joanne enjoy their wine. Adamo makes another point as Nello translates. Make up your own caption. This one just looks funny on its own. Janet tells a story to Dara and Geri while Geri tries to hide her glass. Paul explains to Brian and Paulette why he's empty. Who is that behind him? Cindy gets some personal attention from Adamo. The view from the lookout. The group at the lookout. An alley full of Italian cats. Don't blame me. Lora and Geri talked me into taking this picture. Ristorante del Caffe where we'll meet for dinner later. Lounging on the balcony at David and Geri's. Paul, Dara, Lora, Geri, and David at the fancy table. Look at all the shiny plates. David gets a halo from his plate. Judging by his face, it really might be a religious experience. Nello just stops by to make Lora and Geri laugh. Actually, I think he's helping us pick our wine. The appetizer. It looked better before I took a bite out of it, but now it's like performance art. Geri swirls her wine while Lora looks like she's tired. Geri watches David make a face at the wine. Claire stops by to chat.
