VLMK Engineering + Design’s Experience
Our client, VLMK Engineering + Design, came to us looking for help with their phone systems in their office. As a structural and civil engineering firm, they are constantly fielding client calls, coordinating with contractors, and connecting internally to bring their projects to completion. For them, communication is important. We were able to set them up with Microsoft 365 Business Voice, a cloud-based calling solution that fits their needs and has already been happily adopted by their team.

The Frustration
Due to the amount of communication that happens when working on a project, VLMK Engineering + Design needs to rely on its communication technology. With an aging PBX, after looking at all the options including hosted and replacing the internal PBX, integration with teams seemed like the best fit – particularly with more work occurring outside the office.
The Fix
Knowing that VLMK Engineering + Design was already utilizing Microsoft 365, we offered M365 Business Voice as a simple solution. Integrated with Microsoft Teams, M365 Business Voice assigns each user a phone number, and all calls come through the Teams app. With both the desktop and mobile app, employees can receive calls on both their computers and phones without compromising security and without impacting the employee’s cell phone plan.
We also connected M365 Business Voice to some modernized desk phones and a reception phone in their office space to maintain that traditional phone experience. With this new system, we can help their team work from anywhere, provide a more seamless experience to their clients, and save them money.
