What it is: Claude is Anthropic's AI assistant that is available through a web interface, desktop app, API, or integrated into other platforms.
Why we recommend it: SpireTech has been really impressed with these three platforms' capabilities and easy-to-use interfaces. That said, Claude is a standout and what we use most often internally. When the task requires deep reasoning, nuanced understanding, or complex problem-solving, Claude continues to wow us. We've seen it handle complex multi-step workflows, code apps for us that otherwise would have taken weeks to develop, and make agents and workflows without being asked to. It should be noted that Copilot Cowork was developed with Anthropic and has very similar capabilities.
Claude's standout features include a massive context window (which means it can process entire codebases, articles, or book-length content in a single prompt), exceptional coding capabilities through Claude Code, and strong reasoning with explanations for its reasoning. (That said, always check work done by AI, no matter the provider. It can be wrong and sometimes AI is wrong confidently.)
