We’ve recently had discussions with clients that are considering strategies for closing their offices and going entirely virtual. Last year SpireTech was proud to announce our placement on Channel Futures’ 10th annual MSP 501 ranking list. This year, the 11th annual ranking, SpireTech not only made the list but has moved up in rank as well!
The MSP 501 list seeks to rank the top Managed Service Providers from around the globe. The companies are ranked with metrics that include annual revenue, the number of users supported and much more.
Channel Futures teams with Clarity Channel Advisors to evaluate the MSP contenders, and 2018 had a record number of submissions for inclusion on the list.

In July of 2017 2140 SW Jefferson Street, home of SpireTech, suffered damage from a dumpster fire. While the majority of the building was unharmed, insurance completely remodeled the building to remove the smoke odor. During the renovations, SpireTech relocated our “people space” to 2130 SW Jefferson St. while while our home of 20+ years was being remodeled.
We are happy to announce that we will be moving back across the parking lot to the 2140 building! The moving process will be underway Friday, Feb 9th, and Saturday, Feb 10th. Aside from our physical address all contact information will stay the same. Helpdesk and phone coverage will continue during business hours while the move is taking place.
We expect to be ready to welcome visitors to our renovated space by Monday February 12th. If you are in the area feel free to stop by and check out our ‘new’ offices!

SpireTech Has Moved Temporarily – but just to the other side the street!
Following the dumpster fire in July, which damaged the lower levels of the building where SpireTech occupies the top floor, we have relocated our “people space” to another building in the same office park.
We are now located at 2130 SW Jefferson Street, Suite 300, which is just on the other side of the parking lot from 2140. However, other than our physical address, all our contact information remains the same – with all of our telephone and technology contact information staying unchanged.
We expect to be in our temporary offices until the building repairs and renovations are completed, hopefully before the end of December. If you’re in the area, you’re welcome to stop by and check out our temporary home.
Fire in a trash dumpster located in the parking lot caused damage to the electrical system which controls our generators. Core electrical and network connectivity remained up during the fire. Repairs needed to address all damage are underway. We will post additional information on our blog as it becomes available. If you have any questions or issues with regard to Wednesday night’s outage please get in touch. A big thanks to the Portland Fire Department for their fast, professional and efficient work to keep our people and property safe. Also a big thanks to our electrical contractors who immediately came out to make repairs. And, of course, thanks very much to all of our customers as well for their understanding and support.

SpireTech ranks among the world’s most progressive 501 Managed Service Providers (MSPs), according to MSPmentor’s 10th-annual MSP 501 Worldwide Company Rankings. The top MSP 501 companies ranked this year include organizations from around the world and from diverse technology and business backgrounds. Collectively, they amassed $14.48 billion in total revenue (based on 2016 results), up more than 15 percent from a year earlier.

Wrapping up 2015 and our plans moving into 2016
2015 was a year of growth at SpireTech! I’d like to thank our employees and clients for
making it all possible.
As always, the tech industry is never boring and in constant change. As usual, we are always looking for best-in-class solutions for our clients, and staying on top of trends in the industry to make sure we keep our competitive edge, without being bleeding edge. Here are some highlights of our accomplishments in 2015:
- Our “VIP support” and Managed services business grew 27% last year, mostly by word of mouth and your referrals! We do very little advertising, so your referrals are much appreciated – keep them coming!
- We added the ability to manage and bill for your business’s Office365 services, along with your SpireTech services, on a single invoice. The response has been great, and we see this as a growth area for SpireTech and our clients.
